What you'll do
- Manage, maintain, and evolve cloud infrastructure on AWS
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and testing
- Build and support Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation
- Collaborate with the Data Engineering team to support data pipeline delivery
- Assist in the migration from Cloudera/Hadoop to AWS-native services such as S3, EMR, Glue, Redshift, and Lambda
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting across the cloud environment
- Support platform security, compliance, and cost optimisation for financial services
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues across dev, test, and prod environments
What you'll need
Must have
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or Cloud Engineer in enterprise environments
- Hands‑on experience with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, EMR, Glue, CloudWatch, IAM, VPC)
- Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash)
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, AWS CodePipeline, etc.)
- Proficiency in IaC tools – Terraform preferred
- Experience supporting big data platforms or working with data engineering teams
Nice to have
- Exposure to Hadoop/Cloudera environments and understanding of migration challenges
- Familiarity with cloud security and compliance in the banking/financial sector
